Raised above the plain at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, Son Credo is a 17th-century estate of around 130,000 m² in Santa Maria del Camí, twenty-five minutes from Palma. The land looks out across almond and carob trees towards the mountains and down to the Bay of Palma, and still keeps the rhythm of the seasons: blossom in late winter, long golden summers and slow evenings over the hills. In the 17th century the estate was separated from the neighbouring estate of Son Verdera and took the name of Miquel Reiners Credo, which it has carried ever since.
THE ESTATE TODAY The estate is sold in its current state for €4,500,000. The grounds are flat and elevated, with views of the Tramuntana and the Bay of Palma, and include around 1,064 m² of existing buildings: a main house, a guest house, two agricultural buildings and a pool with a barbecue area. A registered well, 180 metres deep, serves the land, which has scope for vines, olives or citrus.
A DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY Son Credo comes with a proposal for its next chapter: a development plan of around four years to reform both houses and the grounds. The main house would become a four-bedroom home with a spa, a gym, a wine cellar and a new covered porch opening onto the grounds. The guest house would become a separate three-bedroom home. The pool and barbecue area would be refurbished, the grounds landscaped with the estate’s own water, and the agricultural buildings adapted to the buyer’s plans, as a studio, a gym or a gallery. The cost of the works is not included in the price.
Son Credo is both an investment and a home: an estate with a clear plan for its development, and the chance to create a family home of one’s own design alongside the Berrow team.
LOCATION Santa Maria del Camí lies at the foot of the Tramuntana, twenty-five minutes from Palma and close to the airport and the island’s international schools.
