Sant Joan De Labritja Villa

Cala Xarraca sits at the northern tip of Ibiza, within the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, one of the island’s most protected and least developed corners. The bay itself is a small, sheltered inlet framed by pine-covered cliffs and clear shallow water, and the surrounding land falls under strict rural protection classifications that have kept the area largely free of the dense development found elsewhere on the island. This is the Ibiza that existed before mass tourism, and it has been deliberately preserved.

The nearest village is Sant Joan de Labritja, roughly five kilometres inland, with a whitewashed church, a small weekly market on Sundays, and a handful of local restaurants including Can Gall. Portinatx, a small resort bay, is a short drive north. Santa Eulària des Riu, with a broader range of restaurants, shops, and a marina, is approximately 25 kilometres south.

Ibiza Airport is approximately 45 kilometres from Cala Xarraca, reachable in around 45 to 55 minutes by car via the northern road network. The airport operates year-round international connections, with significantly expanded routes from April through October serving most major European cities. There is no rail infrastructure on the island. A car is essential for daily life in this part of Ibiza. Ferry connections to mainland Spain and Mallorca operate from Ibiza Town, roughly 35 kilometres away.
