According to legend, water was likely one of the key factors that contributed to the settlement of this area in medieval times, as well as to the establishment and continued existence of the “Masía del Villar,” recognized as a National Cultural Heritage site and showing traces of later extensions.
The access road leads to an entrance alley, which takes us to the courtyard gates of the estate. We are greeted by a majestic façade with a turret, opening onto a magnificent garden filled with lush vegetation, an impressive centuries-old lime tree, and a 15-meter-long swimming pool equipped with a bathroom and changing room.
Inside, you enter a wonderful 627 m² house spread over two floors, furnished with antique pieces that give the entire building a traditional charm. On the ground floor, there is a spacious vestibule arranged as a living room, a small sitting room, a dining room, a large kitchen, and a guest toilet with a shower. From the dining room, you can access a terrace at the back of the house, offering views of the medieval tower and the stunning surrounding landscape.
The upper floor houses six double bedrooms (three with double beds), one single bedroom, two fully equipped bathrooms, and a guest toilet. At the center of this floor is a large central hall, typical of large farmhouses, which can be used as a living room or dining room for special occasions. The farmhouse is complemented by a spacious attic and a garage cellar.
Attached to Masía del Villar is an authentic Masovería of nearly 500 m², partially restored, consisting of a ground floor, first floor, and attic. A mill, warehouse, and shed complete the property.
Masía del Villar is located in the municipality of Sant Feliu de Codines, which currently has just over 6,363 inhabitants. It lies in the northern part of the Vallès Oriental region, an area with dense forest vegetation dominated by pine and oak trees. Historically, this place was also known as Sant Feliu del Piñón due to the importance of pine nut harvesting in the 18th and 19th centuries.
It is a wonderful place for nature lovers, featuring impressive birdwatching routes and beautiful sites to visit, such as Sant Miquel del Fai, Sima d’Aligues, and a golf course.
Just 45 minutes from Barcelona, the area offers public transportation, including buses, and all necessary services such as schools, shops, and a medical center.
