Magnificent estate in the heart of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of Garrotxa. This estate is distinguished by being located in its own valley, which provides absolute privacy and silence. It is completely surrounded by beech, oak, holm oak forests, and a wide variety of riverside trees. The main property consists of a farmhouse and two barns, with a total of 1,050 m² built, surrounded by its own fields, with a stream at the back. The farmhouse has three floors and requires comprehensive restoration. The façade stands out for two galleries with stone arches facing south, overlooking the meadows of the estate. The property also includes two more farmhouses in a ruinous state, each about 200 m², with permission to be rebuilt. THE SCENE Access to the estate is via a dirt road of about 2 km. This picturesque route follows the course of a stream and descends through a spectacular beech forest. Upon reaching the valley where the main farmhouse is located, the forest opens up to give way to the wide meadows of the estate. The exuberance of untouched and virgin nature stands out, a preserved place where no power lines, modern buildings, or roads are visible. In the background, the farmhouse is situated on the right, slightly elevated at one end of the meadows. The two ruins are located 1 km from the main farmhouse, elevated on the southern slope of the mountain. The estate is located just 35 minutes from Olot and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Barcelona. THE TOUR The main farmhouse has three floors. The ground floor used to house the stables and corrals. Access to the living area is through the west façade, facing the threshing floor. This entrance leads directly to the first floor, as the house is built on the slope of the mountain. From here, you can access both the first and second floors. The interior layout remains in its original state, although unfortunately many floors have disappeared. The farmhouse retains noble rooms of large dimensions, with high ceilings and galleries that invite you to enjoy the views. The two barns are located a few meters from the farmhouse. The two ruins, former tenant houses, have an area of about 200 m² each. They are situated about 100 meters apart, on a ridge of the southern slope of the valley. PRACTICAL DETAILS The property requires complete rehabilitation and does not have an electrical grid or running water. Wells would need to be drilled and/or rainwater harvesting systems implemented, as well as solar panels installed to ensure energy self-sufficiency.
