Portomaso is located in the centre of St Julian. It was completed in 1999 by Tumas Group, and included in 2021 the Portomaso Laguna, an extension to the Portomaso residential development covering an area of 128,000. This unique, waterfront project comprises the 5-star deluxe Hilton Hotel, which is currently being extended to consist of 410 rooms, a 23-storey business tower, 455 luxury apartments, a yacht marina, a major conference venue, an underground car park, a wide range of restaurants and a shopping complex.
