Religious architecture: the cathedral of Salò, dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata, represents the work of greatest architectural value, designed by Filippo delle Vacche in the late Gothic style, never completely completed. Inside it houses paintings by Romanino,Moretto, Zenone Veronese and Paolo Veneziano. Antonio Vassilacchi known as Aliense, painted several frescoes there while the m ain altar is characterized by an imposing golden altarpiece where ten wooden statues created by Pietro Bussolo are inserted. The facade, which is still incomplete, was later embellished by the marble portal created by Tamagnino and Gasparo Cairano in 1509. Al suo interno custodisce tele del Romanino, del Moretto, di Zenone Veronese e di Paolo Veneziano. Antonio Vassilacchi detto l’Aliense, vi eseguì diversi affreschi mentre l’altare maggiore è caratterizzato da un’imponente ancona dorata dove sono inserite dieci statue lignee realizzate da Pietro Bussolo. La facciata, che risulta tuttora incompleta, venne successivamente abbellita dal portale marmoreo realizzato dal Tamagnino e da Gasparo Cairano nel 1509. Il cimitero monumentale, costruito sulla riva opposta del golfo, sul progetto di Rodolfo Vantini. Architetture civili : Il palazzo del podestà era la sede del consiglio della Magnifica Patria, ora sede del comune. Parte dell’edificio è una ricostruzione successiva al 1901, anno in cui un tremendo sisma mise in ginocchio la città. Il palazzo Fantoni del XV secolo ospitava l’Ateneo di Salò, ente derivato dell’antica Accademia degli UnanimiIl teatro civico, ora in ristrutturazione a seguito di una lunga fase di abbandono. Il palazzo Terzi-Martinengo a Barbarano fu costruito su incarico del marchese Sforza Pallavicino capitano della Repubblica di Venezia. Possiede un grande parco con stupende fontane. Il palazzo è proprietà privata, quindi non visitabile. Il lazzaretto di San Rocco, realizzato a seguito di una parte del Consiglio Generale datata 7 giugno 1484. Aree naturali : Il Comune di Salò è il più densamente popolato e il più abitato del parco Alto Garda Bresciano. Antonio Vassilacchi, bekannt als Aliense, malte dort mehrere Fresken, während der Hauptaltar durch ein imposantes goldenes Altarbild gekennzeichnet ist, in das zehn von Pietro Bussolo geschaffene Holzstatuen eingesetzt sind. Die noch unvollständige Fassade wurde später durch das 1509 von Tamagnino und Gasparo Cairano geschaffene Marmorportal verschönert. Der monumentale Friedhof wurde nach einem Projekt von Rodolfo Vantini am gegenüberliegenden Ufer des Golfs errichtet. Zivilarchitektur: Der Palast des Podestà war der Sitz des Rates der Magnifica Patria, heute Sitz der Gemeinde. Ein Teil des Gebäudes ist eine Rekonstruktion nach 1901, dem Jahr, in dem ein schreckliches Erdbeben die Stadt in die Knie zwang. Im Fantoni-Palast aus dem 15. Jahrhundert befand sich die Universität von Salò, eine Zweigstelle der antiken Accademia degli Unanimi. Das Bürgertheater wird derzeit renoviert nach einer langen Phase der Vernachlässigung. Der Terzi-Martinengo-Palast in Barbarano wurde im Auftrag des Marquis Sforza Pallavicino; Kapitän der Republik Venedig, erbaut. Es gibt einen großen Park mit wunderschönen Springbrunnen. Der Palast ist Privatbesitz und ka nn daher nicht besichtigt werden. Das Krankenhaus von San Rocco wurde nach einem Teil des Generalrats vom 7. Juni 1484 erbaut. Naturgebiete: Die Gemeinde Salò ist die am dichtesten besiedelte und am dichtesten besiedelte Gemeinde des Alto Gardapark Bresciano.
