Saint-Raphaël sits on the western edge of the Esterel massif, where the Corniche d’Or connects it to Cannes along one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in France. The red porphyry cliffs of the Esterel, dropping directly into the Mediterranean, give this part of the Côte d’Azur a character entirely distinct from the limestone shores further east. The A8 autoroute connects the area to Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, and the Italian border, making Saint-Raphaël a practical base for both regional travel and international access.
