Set at 2,500 meters above sea level within the UNESCO World Heritage landscape of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Finca Otro Mundo is among the most extraordinary private estates available in the region. At the heart of the property is a beautifully conceived 300 square meter private residence, created with an instinctive understanding of the landscape and the traditions of the region. The architecture draws upon the enduring language of the Andes while introducing a refined level of craftsmanship and comfort. Approximately 18,000 handcrafted adobe bricks, natural stone, noble timber and finely worked iron create interiors and exteriors of remarkable warmth and authenticity.

Additionally there are four individually designed guest cabins in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape. Double-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows frame 360° views of the cordillera. A chef’s kitchen with black marble countertops, premium bathrooms with stone basins, and outdoor parrillas set among lush green gardens complete an offering of understated beauty.

What distinguishes Otro Mundo beyond its architecture and location is the abundance of its natural endowment. A private mineral spring and a perennial irrigation acequia sustain year-round orchards, kitchen gardens and greenery of a density seldom seen at this altitude. Century-old cardón cacti, algarrobos and molles populate the grounds, while rows of poplars and willows provide natural shelter along the estate’s northern and southern boundaries.

The subterranean water spring is prolific at shallow depth, unlocking potential for organic agriculture, high-altitude viticulture and a range of future development concepts. The Quebrada de Humahuaca is increasingly recognized as one of Argentina’s most compelling emerging wine regions, and the terroir of this land, positioned between 2,000 and 2,400 meters, provides ideal conditions for premium viticulture.
