Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the calm waters of the Bay of Pollença. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a Roman bridge, a medieval parish church, and a famous 365-step Calvari staircase that defines the town’s skyline. The weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major has drawn locals and residents for generations, and the town retains a working, year-round community that many coastal resorts lack.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major, with cafés such as Café Espanyol and a strong restaurant scene including La Tetera and Clivia. The beach at Port de Pollença is a ten-minute drive. Alcúdia’s walled old town and its large weekly market are fifteen minutes away. Palma is roughly one hour by car.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 65 kilometres from Pollença, reached in around 55 to 65 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities including London, Frankfurt, Barcelona, and Amsterdam, with significantly expanded connections from April through October. There is no rail connection to Pollença, so a car is essential for residents.
