Residential Pollença Spain

Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the calm waters of the Bay of Pollença. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a Roman bridge, a medieval parish church, and a famous 365-step Calvari staircase that defines the town’s skyline. The weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major has drawn locals and residents for generations, and the town retains a working, year-round community that many coastal resorts lack.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major, with cafés such as Café Espanyol and a strong restaurant scene including La Tetera and Clivia. The port, Port de Pollença, is a ten-minute drive and offers sailing, waterfront dining, and a long pedestrian promenade. Alcúdia’s walled old town and beaches are fifteen minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. The airport is roughly one hour from Pollença by car. There is no rail connection to the north of the island, so a car is essential for residents.
