Residential Pollença Spain

Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the calm waters of the Bay of Pollença. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a Roman bridge, a medieval parish church, and a famous 365-step Calvari staircase defining its historic core. The town has long attracted artists and intellectuals, giving it a quieter, more considered character than the resort-heavy south of the island.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major, where the Sunday market draws locals year-round. Celler La Parra and Il Giardino are reliable dining options in town. Port de Pollença, five minutes by car, offers waterfront restaurants, a sailing club, and a long pedestrian promenade. Cala Sant Vicenç, with its clear-water coves, is ten minutes away.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, around 50 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times from London, Paris, and Frankfurt typically under two and a half hours. The airport is roughly one hour from Pollença by car. There is no rail connection to the north of the island, so a car is essential for residents.
