Residential Pollença Spain

Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the calm waters of the Bay of Pollença. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a medieval core of ochre stone buildings, a Roman bridge, and a weekly Sunday market that has anchored local life for centuries. The town has long attracted artists and intellectuals, giving it a quiet seriousness that sets it apart from the resort-dominated south.

The old town centres on Plaça Major, with Clivia restaurant and the local market defining weekly rhythms. Port de Pollença is a ten-minute drive, offering waterfront dining at La Llotja and sailing from the marina. Cala Sant Vicenç, one of Mallorca’s cleaner cove beaches, is fifteen minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, around 50 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times from the airport to Pollença of roughly one hour. There is no rail connection to the north of the island, so a car is essential. Ferry services from Palma connect to Barcelona, Valencia, and Ibiza for those preferring sea travel.
