Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the Bay of Pollença, in a part of the island that has long attracted artists, writers, and discerning buyers who prioritise character over convenience. The old town retains its medieval street pattern, its weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major, and a civic identity that feels genuinely Mallorcan rather than shaped by tourism. The surrounding landscape is among the most protected and scenically intact on the island.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major and the streets around Carrer dels Cavallets. Celler La Parra and Il Giardino are established dining options in town. The Port de Pollença waterfront is a ten-minute drive, offering additional restaurants and a sailing marina. Cala Sant Vicenç, one of the cleaner cove beaches on the island, is roughly five kilometres away.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, around 50 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities year-round, with journey time from Pollença of roughly 45 to 55 minutes by car. There is no rail connection to the north of the island; private car or taxi are the practical options for airport transfers and inter-island travel originates from Palma port.
