Pollensa is by far the most well known town in the north of Majorca, both for international tourists and for island residents. A beautiful Historic town positioned at the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. The traditional Mallorcan village houses and its friendly inhabitants complete the harmonious picture of the Mediterranean village. Bright stone facades and picturesque alleys complement the charming village. Especially the Calvario, hosting 365 steps to a view which will surely take your breath away. Pollensa offers a wide selection of exclusive restaurants and cafes.
The Golf course, just a 5 minute drive away, is set on a hill overlooking the Bay of Pollensa and the Golf House is frequented even by non golfers for its dining terrace with spectacular views. If you prefer quiet and secluded living, look no further than the noble residential area of La Font, which is located just a few minutes from Pollensa.

Pollensa is a traditional village that has not lost its authentic charm over the years of mass tourism.

Pollença sits at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana in the northern reaches of Mallorca, and it occupies a distinct position among the island’s towns: genuinely historic, architecturally coherent, and largely untouched by the resort development that has altered much of the coastline. The old town is built around a Roman bridge, a 13th-century parish church, and the famous Calvari staircase of 365 steps. The weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major has anchored local life for generations.

Daily life in Pollença centres on the Plaça Major, where Café Espanyol and La Fonda are established fixtures. The town has a strong dining scene for its size, with Clivia and Il Giardino among the better-regarded restaurants. Port de Pollença, the bay-side extension of the town, is a ten-minute drive and offers additional beaches, sailing, and waterfront dining.

Pollença is approximately 55 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca Airport, a drive of around 50 to 60 minutes via the Ma-13 motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes, with significantly expanded connections from April through October. There is no rail link to the north of the island, so a car is essential. Alcúdia, the nearest larger town with a hospital and ferry port, is roughly 15 minutes by road.
