Seven minutes away is a small town which has all the essential services, including a well-stocked supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, petrol station and tabac as well as a traditional market on Sunday mornings, with locally grown vegetables, local cheeses, plants and fresh local oysters. Large supermarkets are found in two beautiful medieval towns from fourteen to twenty minutes away.

Set in the lush countryside of the Gatine, the Priory is surrounded by beautiful countryside with rich, diverse wildlife as well as forests and rivers providing wonderful walks and outdoor activities. A lake with a beach and water skiing is a short drive away and many of the region’s outstanding tourist destinations are within easy driving distance.
