At its centre stands the Panagia Ekatontapiliani, the Church of a Hundred Doors, one of the earliest and best-preserved Christian basilicas in Greece, dating from the 4th century AD.

Livadia beach, sheltered from the summer Meltemi winds and well-suited to families with its shallow entry and full facilities, is within walking distance north of the town. Krios beach, three kilometres from the centre and reachable by kaiki from the port, offers calm, clear water with a beach bar and restaurant. Naoussa, the island’s second town with a picturesque fishing harbour and a well-established restaurant scene, is approximately 10 km to the northeast.

Paros Airport is a 10-minute drive away and handles seasonal direct connections from several European cities. The fast ferry from Piraeus runs in under three hours.
