Dammuso Kharebi: Un Antico Dammuso Padronale

Overlooking the small village of Scauri from above.
From its terrace, the view stretches from the garden to the orchard, from the village to the sea, and all the way to the African coasts on the horizon.

In an atmosphere of absolute privacy, we access the property via a dirt road. Once inside, the sounds and scents of Sicilian nature blend together like a dream.
Leaving Africa behind, you can enter the dammuso through one of the three glass doors on the terrace.
Inside, the various rooms of the house are internally connected.

The first door leads to the living room with a kitchenette and the first bathroom. This bathroom features a large tub beneath a window that frames the sea view like a painting.
From the living room, we enter the first sleeping area, which includes a lounge and a small bedroom without windows—perfect for a daytime nap. From here, the second glass door leads back to the terrace.
Continuing on, we reach the second sleeping area, which is even larger. It includes a spacious lounge, a large master alcove, and the second bathroom with a shower.
This area also has terrace access without disturbing guests in the previous bedroom.

Just outside on the terrace to the left, there is a well-equipped outdoor kitchenette where you can prepare delicious breakfasts to enjoy in the shade of the pine trees. This spot is perhaps the most sheltered and ideal for relaxation.
Hammocks and loungers furnish all the outdoor spaces, but I must confess, this part is my favorite.

The dammuso is complemented by other rooms not yet restored, including additional storage and stables that could become a second living area or a guest annex.
The terrace is very large and offers splendid sunsets over the sea. On the clearest days, you can even see the nearby Tunisian coast.

Surrounding the dammuso is a large plot cultivated with various plants, flowers, and fruit trees.

The nearest beach access is at Scauri, with its picturesque small harbor where boats and inflatables can be rented. The village of Scauri also offers bars, restaurants, a tobacconist/newsstand, a fish market, a pharmacy, and a supermarket.
