Prime Garden Route Beachfront Land

An exceptional opportunity to acquire 135 hectares of pristine beachfront land in Oyster Bay, one of the Eastern Cape’s most spectacular coastal destinations. Boasting approximately 2 kilometres of unspoilt shoreline, this remarkable property enjoys a setting along what is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most beautiful beaches.

Framed by sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, the property offers an extraordinary natural landscape where dolphins, migrating whales and Cape Clawless Otters are regularly seen. Combining privacy, scale and breathtaking scenery, this is a rare coastal holding with endless potential.

Whether envisioned as an exclusive private estate, a tranquil seaside retreat, a working agricultural property or a landmark development opportunity, the possibilities are truly exceptional. The fertile land is well suited to a range of agricultural pursuits, while its expansive open spaces create the perfect setting for horse riding, trail running, quad biking and an outdoor lifestyle immersed in nature.

Ideally positioned close to the sought-after village of St Francis Bay, the property offers the perfect balance between peaceful seclusion and convenient access to renowned restaurants, golf courses, marina facilities and everyday amenities.

For developers, the scale of this holding presents a compelling opportunity. Larger than the neighbouring village of Oyster Bay itself, the property offers significant scope for an innovative residential or mixed-use development, subject to the necessary approvals. Its unrivalled beachfront position and outstanding natural beauty create an exceptional foundation for a visionary coastal project.

Rarely does a property of this calibre become available. Offering an unparalleled combination of location, scale and potential, this is an extraordinary opportunity to secure one of the Garden Route’s most remarkable beachfront landholdings.

St Francis Bay is a holiday village in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, roughly one hour’s drive from Port Elizabeth. The building style of the village includes white painted houses with black roofs (either thatch or tiled roofs) on the canals or around the golf course, or a Mediterranean building style in Santareme and Port St Francis. The Kromme River is navigable for 10 km upstream, and is linked to the St Francis canals system.
Whales can be spotted in the Bay from May to late October and dolphins can be seen daily on their way back and forth between the bays of Cape St Francis and Jeffrey’s Bay. Bird life is abundant with over 200 species recorded in the area including the rare African oystercatcher and fish eagle.
Port St Francis includes a commercial and recreational harbour, built to host the squid industry freezing vessels, as well as a small harbour resort village. It lies in a sheltered nook of the bay and provides a safe anchorage for the boats, pleasure craft, and oceangoing yachts. St Francis Field is an airpark close to the Port that caters for those who wish to fly in.
Cape St Francis, a rustic fishing village, sits adjacent to St Francis Bay. Popular for surfing at Seal Point, its beautiful stretch of beach and the historic lighthouse, built in 1878. Walking trails wind along the rocky coast, through the Irma Booysen Floral Reserve, and along the Cape St Francis point links it to the village of St Francis Bay.
