Residential Orient Spain

Bunyola is a small mountain municipality in the Serra de Tramuntana, the UNESCO World Heritage listed mountain range that runs along the northwest coast of Mallorca. Sitting at around 200 metres above sea level, the village retains the unhurried character of inland Mallorcan life, with stone-built houses, narrow lanes, and a pace entirely removed from the coastal resort towns. The surrounding landscape of terraced olive groves, almond trees, and pine-covered ridges defines the visual identity of the area.

The village has a weekly market, a handful of local restaurants serving traditional Mallorcan cuisine, and a small selection of everyday shops. The nearby hamlet of Orient, set deeper into the mountains, is known for the Hotel Hermitage and its restaurant. Palma is approximately 20 kilometres away, reachable in around 25 minutes by car.

Bunyola sits on the historic Palma to Soller railway line, with a station in the village offering a scenic connection to both Palma and Soller. By car, Palma city centre is around 20 to 25 minutes via the Ma-11. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 30 kilometres from Bunyola, a journey of roughly 30 to 35 minutes, with direct flights operating to most major European cities year-round and expanded connections during summer months.
