Ollioules occupies a distinctive position in the Var, set between the limestone gorges of the Gros Cerveau massif and the coastal plain that opens toward Toulon Bay. The old village retains its medieval core, with a Romanesque church, a ruined castle, and a historic centre of narrow streets that has changed little in character over centuries.
