The kitchen is wrapped entirely in Fiddleback Sycamore with Calacatta marble walls and mirror-lined window jambs that reflect the Frick garden beyond. The dining room is sheathed in a sage Gracie chinoiserie wallcovering beneath a domed ceiling with crystal chandelier, its arched doorways connecting seamlessly to both the kitchen and the wood-paneled living room beyond. Rich with built-in bookshelves and arched shuttered windows, the living room carries the warmth of a private library. A powder room completes the level.

The upper floor is anchored by a 30-foot great room with fireplace, its soaring lacquered ceiling amplifying the light that floods through French casement doors opening to views of Central Park. A wet bar and a dedicated office with custom built-ins and a closet round out the floor’s amenities. Four bedrooms, each with an en suite bath, are arranged with care. The primary is exceptional in scale, featuring a coffered ceiling, a generous walk-in closet, and a sweep of windows framing serene, unobstructed views of Central Park and the Frick Collection gardens.

Throughout, PPA’s interior design team wove together new custom pieces and carefully chosen antiques. A bronze railing and balustrade staircase, ebony quarter-sawn oak floors, and wall treatments of French silk, Venetian plaster, leather, and suede carry a considered hand through every room. A scalloped handkerchief vault marks the private entrance vestibule. Systems are fully modernized: seven-zone HVAC with automatic humidity control, radiant heat, a Lutron lighting system, custom closets, and a sophisticated AV system with professional-grade humidification.
