INVESTING IN THE TUAMOTU IN THE LAND OF PEARLS, NENGO NENGO ATOLL

Nengo Nengo is not just a private Tuamotu atoll. It is a marine haven, away from the sea routes. It is a pearl island, as there are not 30 in the eastern South Pacific.

Tahiti International Airport
Faa'a, located 5 km south of Papeete,
capital of Polynesia, on the island
from Tahiti, to reach Nengo
Nengo. It is an atoll located 42 km south east
of Ravahere, its nearest neighbour, and
100 km southwest of Hao. He is moreover
administratively attached to the municipality
de Hao, even though it is a private island.
The atoll, oval, is 13 km long by 8 km
maximum width for a surface of
land mass of 9 km 2. Its vast lagoon
interior to an area of 67 km2, but does not
has no pass the binder to the high seas.
The underwater mountain on which the atoll
rests is 4,355 m high, which
makes it one of the tallest underwater mountains
of the archipelago.
A private airport, owned by the company
pearling, was inaugurated
in 1993. The track is 1,400 meters long,
unpaved, traced on the east motu.
It can be extended by an additional 400 m.

The atoll is private, managed by an SCI (reduced fees
of acquisition) but is not closed
tourism, particularly high-end.
It is also within the framework of the development
of this exclusive, sustainable and tailor-made tourism,
that the atoll is put up for sale, with a
turnkey development project.
Nengo Nengo did not have a pass
navigable, also a navigation channel has
dug south of the airstrip.
It is around this channel that the hotel project
luxury was designed. A hundred of
bungalows will occupy the two large motu
from the east.
Totally isolated villas, on stilts and
rock foundations, are planned in the
northern center of the atoll, bordering an area
marine totally protected.
On the two northeast motu are planned
bungalows on stilts, on the edge of the
beaches famous for their pink sands.
In their continuity, to the north, a golf course of 18
holes will be constructed. This will be the first golf
made on an atoll. The intended grass has already been
proven in Moorea as well as in Déva (New
Caledonia). It is resistant to spray and
requires little water.
A desalination system will be installed near
of the photovoltaic power plant, in order to ensure
drinking water needs for all
residential homes.
A science center will be built on the
southwestern part of the atoll. It will be intended to
ensure the protection and monitoring of turtles,
sacred totem animal in Polynesia.
Finally, on this pearl island, the cultured pearl
de Tahiti will be honored with stays:
initiation to transplantation, investment in
production lines, remote monitoring of
the evolution of its grafted oysters, participation
at harvest… Each owner
may invest in pearl concessions
maritime, up to 500 m2.
It is therefore more than a land acquisition,
even if it was on a private island, but
investment in a development project
economical, combining luxury and sustainable tourism.

The Nengo Nengo lagoon is so pure that its water is reminiscent of a swimming pool. Salinity, nutrients,
oxygenation and depth (approximately 45 m) are brought together to provide pearl oysters with the ideal conditions for their breeding.

The motu is home to the aerodrome, placing the atoll barely two hours from Tahiti, less than half a day from Los Angeles.
