Set above Cavo Glyfadi on the southern coast of Mykonos, this contemporary Cycladic residence occupies an elevated position overlooking the sea, with the sandy beach below accessible on foot. The architecture follows the familiar forms of the island while adopting a more contemporary expression, combining whitewashed volumes, natural materials and expansive openings that maintain a constant visual connection with the coastline and horizon beyond.

Arranged across two levels, the house is designed around openness, natural light and the relationship between interior and exterior space. A restrained palette of white plaster, oak flooring, natural stone and exposed timber creates a calm and cohesive atmosphere throughout, while broad glazed openings allow the changing light and sea views to become integral elements of the interior experience. The orientation of the property encourages natural airflow through the principal spaces during the warmer months, reinforcing the sense of connection to the surrounding landscape.

The main living level unfolds as a series of interconnected spaces facing the sea. Reception, dining and kitchen areas are arranged to maximise the views, with large openings creating a seamless transition onto the terraces beyond. The architecture remains intentionally understated, allowing proportion, light and setting to define the character of the house rather than decorative detail. Throughout the day, the movement of sunlight across the pale surfaces subtly alters the atmosphere of the interiors.

Accommodation is arranged across seven bedroom suites together with an additional en-suite staff bedroom. The bedrooms continue the same architectural language found throughout the residence, combining simplicity, privacy and direct access to outdoor space. Several open directly onto terraces overlooking the coastline, while the consistent use of natural materials and soft tones creates a sense of continuity between the private and shared areas of the house.

Outdoor living forms an essential part of the property’s design. Wide terraces extend from the principal rooms, creating a sequence of spaces that respond to different times of day and varying levels of sun and shade. The infinity pool is positioned to draw the eye towards the horizon, while the arrangement of terraces and covered areas allows the exterior spaces to function as a natural extension of the house. Carefully integrated planting softens the architectural lines and anchors the residence within its setting.
