Renovated Country House With Sea Views In Muro

Muro is a small agricultural municipality in the northeast of Mallorca, sitting between the Serra de Tramuntana foothills and the flat wetlands of the S’Albufera natural park. The town retains a distinctly local character, with a historic centre built around the 16th-century church of Sant Joan Baptista and a weekly market that has served the farming community for generations. The surrounding countryside is defined by almond groves, dry-stone walls, and open views toward the Bay of Alcudia.

The town centre has a covered market, several traditional cafés, and the Museu Etnològic de Muro. The beaches of Playa de Muro, part of the Bay of Alcudia, are a ten-minute drive. Alcudia, with its walled old town, restaurants, and weekly market, is approximately eight kilometres away. Port d’Alcudia adds further dining and marina facilities.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres from Muro, reachable by car in under an hour via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport, the main international gateway for the Balearic Islands, handles direct routes to most major European cities and is approximately 50 kilometres from Muro, around 45 to 50 minutes by car. There is no direct rail connection; private car or taxi is the standard means of transport in this part of the island.
