Montuiri Villa

Montuiri is a small hilltop town in the geographic heart of Mallorca, sitting at around 200 metres above sea level on the Es Pla plain. It is one of the island’s most authentically Mallorcan settlements, defined by stone architecture, agricultural land, and long views across the central plain toward the Serra de Tramuntana to the north and the Serra de Llevant to the east. The town retains a working rural character that distinguishes it sharply from the coastal resort belt.

Daily essentials are covered in Montuiri itself, with a weekly market on Mondays. The nearby towns of Petra, Sineu, and Algaida each offer traditional restaurants and local produce markets. Sineu hosts one of Mallorca’s most established weekly markets every Wednesday. Palma, with its full range of dining, cultural institutions, and international retail, is approximately 30 kilometres away.

Montuiri sits close to the Ma-15 highway, placing Palma roughly 30 to 35 minutes by car under normal conditions. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres from the town, reachable in around 30 to 40 minutes by car. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded frequency during the summer season. There is no rail connection to Montuiri directly, though Palma’s train network is accessible from nearby towns.
