Prati Piani has seen many famous guests among them Winston Churchill and many professional football teams trained here. —> Casa Cantoniera, or the road workers’ dwelling, was built in 1935 and was the first of the three buildings. The house, originally built for road workers, subsequently housed the family staff and later the Albergo staff. Comprising two apartments, Casa Cantoniera has been recently renovated and equipped with a wood stove and under floor heating . The apartment has one bedroom sharing the entrance and large hall. It has an open plan kitchen, a shared laundry room which is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, microwave oven and freezer. It has a stereo and television with a satellite decoder for Astra channels. There is ample parking space on the premises.
The apartment looks onto the quiet little mountain road. The back view looks on to the Prati Piani garden.
Adjacent to the living room is the bathroom with shower and the bedroom. The bedroom is equipped with two single beds, a cupboard and writing desk.

The fattoria was formerly run on behalf of the family resident in the villa. When the villa was subsequently converted to a hotel, the products were used in the kitchen of the restaurant that is still widely famous for the quality of its ingredients. In the past, Prati Piani produced honey, wine and cheese. Cattle were raised and trout were bred in a basin in the little river in front of the villa.
