Sant Lluís is a small, well-preserved municipality in the southeastern corner of Menorca, founded in the eighteenth century during the brief French occupation of the island. Its whitewashed architecture, orderly grid of streets, and central windmill give it a character distinct from the more tourist-facing towns to the north. The surrounding countryside is low and open, punctuated by dry-stone walls and ancient farmsteads, and the coastline within the municipality holds some of the island’s most sheltered and clear-water coves.

The village of Sant Lluís itself has a weekly market, a handful of well-regarded restaurants including Es Molí de Foc, and everyday shops for provisions. Binibeca Vell, a private urbanization within the municipality, is a short drive away. Mahón, the island capital, is approximately eight kilometres to the north, reachable in under fifteen minutes by car.

Menorca Airport is located roughly six kilometres from Sant Lluís, making it one of the closest municipalities on the island to the terminal. Direct flights connect Menorca to Barcelona in under an hour, and to Madrid in approximately ninety minutes. Seasonal routes serve multiple European cities. The ferry port in Mahón offers connections to Barcelona and Valencia, with crossings taking between six and nine hours depending on the service.
