Marsala is, of course, legendary as a centre for wine production, and you’ll find some superb vineyards and cantinas within an easy driving distance. Whether you want to discover the history and technique behind famous industry names like Florio and Donnafugata or just enjoy a few samples of their work, it’s sure to be a hit with any visitors you have.

The nearest sandy beach is just five minutes away, and the south-western coast of Sicily is home to some really beautiful stretches of coastline which are less inundated by visitors than some of the north and east.
