The Golden Mile is the stretch of coastline running between Marbella and Puerto Banús, long established as the most prestigious address on the Costa del Sol. The corridor takes its name from the concentration of grand private estates, five-star hotels, and gated residential complexes that line both sides of the N-340 coastal road. Puerto Banús is roughly ten minutes by car, with its marina restaurants, El Corte Inglés, and the Aloha shopping centre. The AP-7 and the A-7 coastal road provide direct connections to Málaga city, Estepona, and Gibraltar to the west. Málaga airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and has connections to transatlantic hubs, making it the primary international gateway for residents on the Costa del Sol.
