Mancor de la Vall is one of the smallest and least commercialised municipalities in the Tramuntana mountain range of Mallorca, sitting in a narrow valley between the peaks of Massanella and the Serra de Tramuntana. The village retains a genuinely rural character, with stone farmhouses, terraced orchards, and a pace of life that has changed little over generations. The surrounding landscape is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognising the centuries-old system of dry-stone terracing and water management that defines this part of the island.

Daily essentials are covered in the village itself, with a small weekly market and a handful of local bars. The market town of Inca, roughly 10 kilometres away, provides supermarkets, medical services, and a broader range of restaurants. The historic town of Pollença and the coastal resort of Port de Pollença are around 30 kilometres north.

Inca has a direct rail connection to Palma, with journey times of approximately 30 minutes, and the station is reachable from Mancor de la Vall by car in under 15 minutes. Palma de Mallorca Airport is around 40 kilometres from the village, typically a 45-minute drive via the Ma-13 motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded frequency during the summer season.
