Large farm with stables, grazing land and olive grove near Casarabonela, Southern Spain. At 45 minutes from Malaga city, the airport and the beaches. The Build size is divided into 432m2 for residential and the remaining 1437 is for agriculture and livestock use. With regards to the residential use, there is a main house (356m2) a guard or guest house (76m2) and a fantastic Olympic sized pool of approximately 11,5x24 metres. Also a pool house, a covered terrace/BBQ area and a storage area. For farm use there is a stable block (199m2). Furthermore, a large barn for the machinery and supplies of 200m2, a pigsty of 77m2 a cowshed plus chicken shed of 414m2 and a second cowshed of 547m2. At this moment there are no animals on the farm.

This unique property is now in use as ’finca de recreo’. The main house is well built and upgraded to a comfortable country house in rustic style, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room, fully fitted kitchen and a bodega. Built over 2 levels. Outside is a large covered terrace with BBQ area. Lovely shaded gardens in front of the house, overlooking fields and the Malaga mountains. The fantastic pool is of a size we have never seen before! If you had planned to do your lanes, this is the place! Ample sunbathing terraces surround the pool. A bit away from the main house is the guard or guest house, with its own garden and entrance. It has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and an open plan living with kitchen.

The stable block for the horses is built around a courtyard, with 9 boxes, a tack room and a storage room. Two of the boxes are spacious enough to be used as foaling stable. It has easy access from the main house and by car through another entrance further along the track. Here is where you also find the barn, the chicken shed, the pigsty and the first cowshed. There is still a small paddock here in disuse.

Further along the track there is grazing land of approximately 19 hectares that can be seeded for the horses or used for dryland crops as wheat, chickpeas, sunflowers etc. In front of the house there is a large plot of approximately 20 hectares that has been planted with olives, variety Hojiblanca around 2016-2017. There is also a part planted with avocados and fruit trees.

Following the track up the hill, you will also see some older olive and almond groves with trees of app. 40-50 year old. The current production is app 20.000 kg of olives and 30.000 kg of avocados. Since most of the olives are still young, the production is growing every year. In the old days the farm also had around 100 cows.

The finca is fully fenced. It has its own water supply from a stream, which is used for agriculture and in the old days for livestock. The house is fed from a borehole. The water is pumped up to a large water deposit. The water infrastructure is well maintained and fully functioning. The finca is connected to mains electricity and has a 4 or 5G signal to connect to WIFI.

If you are looking for a farm that is easy to maintain, on which you can without any problem be completely self sufficient, this is a property worth looking at. Contact us for more information.

Casarabonela is a small Andalusian hill town in the Guadalhorce valley, set within the Sierra de las Nieves natural park at roughly 500 metres above sea level. The town retains the compact Moorish street pattern and whitewashed architecture typical of the Málaga interior, with an agricultural economy historically built on olives, almonds, and citrus. The surrounding landscape is defined by limestone ridges, dry riverbeds, and terraced groves, offering a markedly different character from the coastal strip 45 kilometres to the south.

Casarabonela village has a weekly market and basic daily services. Álora, approximately 15 kilometres away, offers a wider range of shops, restaurants, and a train station. Málaga city provides full urban amenities including the Mercado de Atarazanas, the Picasso Museum, and a well-developed restaurant scene, all within a 45-minute drive.

The A-357 connects the area to Málaga city in approximately 45 minutes by car. Álora station on the Málaga to Córdoba commuter line provides rail access, though a car is essential for daily life at this location. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is roughly 50 kilometres away, with direct flights to most major European cities and connections to international hubs via Madrid or Barcelona.
