The Carretera de Cádiz corridor, running west along the coast from central Málaga, has emerged as the city’s most actively developing seafront address. Known informally as the new golden mile, this stretch combines direct beach access with proximity to the historic centre, sitting roughly three kilometres from the Soho arts district and the port. The area has attracted significant residential investment in recent years, drawing buyers who want genuine Mediterranean frontage within the Málaga city limits.
The beachfront promenade connects directly to Playa de la Misericordia and Playa de los Álamos. El Palo fish market and the chiringuitos along the Pedregalejo seafront are a short drive east. Málaga’s historic centre, with the Mercado de Atarazanas, Calle Larios, and the Picasso Museum, is reachable in under ten minutes by car.
Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately six kilometres west, a journey of around ten minutes by car, making this one of the most airport-proximate seafront addresses in the city. The Málaga María Zambrano high-speed rail station connects to Madrid in under two and a half hours and to Barcelona in approximately five and a half hours. The C1 suburban rail line runs along this corridor with stops serving both the airport and the city centre.
