In the heart of Salento, Maglie is the reference point south of the capital of Lecce. At the gates of the city, stands this ancient residence, surrounded by a park of about 10 hectares, characterized by different essences of Mediterranean scrub, and various types of vegetation. Typical of the stately buildings, the villa is located in the highest part of the municipality, in fact its construction dates back to 1800. The main access is via a 300-meter long driveway, bordered by pine trees. Once in the square, you can admire the main facade of the house. Set on two levels, the villa immediately denotes the noble nineteenth-century style of the place, made of Lecce stone. The interior instead, are enhanced by the vaults and a “maltrotta”. On the ground floor, a large entrance hall, disengages the kitchen area, from the right wing, where there are other rooms, a chapel, the temporary shelter of carriages and stables. On the first floor, on the other hand, it is possible to enter through 3 flights of stairs, one of which is main, while the others instead of service. Also here a large room with frescoed vault leads to 8 rooms of considerable size. Also two lodges on the back, overlooking the garden. A little further away, another structure is positioned, intended for guests. With its 300 square meters, this house allowed, to accommodate over 15 people. In the property there is also a belvedere, an old turret that is used as an electric cabin with an adjoining elevator to reach the well. The main dimensions of this, are the future, which are receptive.
