This house has it all – light and shadow, transparency and privacy, expansive views and a sense of security. For the owner, the collaboration with the interior designer was a stroke of luck. What began as a manageable renovation evolved, through the interplay of these two creative minds, into a project that extends across all floors. The result was a bespoke redesign of the rooms. The starting point is the striking eighteenth-century cross vault on the ground floor. This architectural detail serves as the focal point for the generously proportioned kitchen, the dining area, and the fireplace. Bold use of color in the furniture and artwork creates a vibrant atmosphere. Transparency through glass doors, which can be frosted upon request, particularly in the bathroom, lends the house a French lightness. The lighting concept is consistent throughout all floors: in addition to the ceiling lights, which are spectacularly integrated between the old oak beams, especially on the upper floor, wall lights predominate. Each one is hand-selected, some from Paris, others unique collector’s items. All materials were crafted to the highest standard, from the oak flooring on the upper and attic floors, to the built-in furniture on the upper floor, the tiles, the doors, the lighting...
