Le Cannet sits immediately above Cannes on the hills of the Alpes-Maritimes, a residential commune that has long attracted a quieter, more settled clientele than its famous neighbour. The old village core, with its narrow lanes, Provençal facades, and the Musée Bonnard dedicated to the painter who spent his final decades here, gives the town a cultural identity that extends well beyond its proximity to Cannes.
