Dominating the heart of the village of Bar-sur-Loup, between Grasse and Vence, this historic edifice stands out with a rare heritage: an ancient monastery, it later became a cannery specializing in olive jars before hosting one of the region’s most renowned gastronomic tables.
The villa, inspired by Provençal architecture, boasts a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and reveals exceptional volumes enhanced by stone fireplaces, majestic ceilings adorned with exposed beams, and imposing stone walls.

Le Bar-sur-Loup is a medieval hilltop village in the Alpes-Maritimes, positioned between Grasse and Vence in the pre-Alpine foothills above the Côte d’Azur. The village retains its original fortified character, with a 15th-century château, a Romanesque church containing the notable Gothic painting ’La Danse Macabre’, and stone lanes that have changed little over centuries. At roughly 400 metres elevation, it sits within one of the most productive perfume-flower growing areas in France.
The village has its own small shops and a weekly market. Grasse, the world capital of perfume, is approximately 8 kilometres away and offers a full range of services, restaurants, and cultural institutions including the Musée International de la Parfumerie. Vence, with its Matisse Chapel and established restaurant scene, is around 12 kilometres to the east.
Le Bar-sur-Loup is connected to Grasse and the coast by the D2085 and D3. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 35 kilometres away, reachable in around 40 minutes by car depending on traffic. Cannes is roughly 25 kilometres to the south. The A8 motorway, accessible via Grasse or Villeneuve-Loubet, provides direct links to Monaco, Italy, and Aix-en-Provence.
