Fossola di Tramonti, in the heart of the Cinque Terre Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Would you like to enjoy, with little effort, the rugged and vertical beauty of the most authentic Cinque Terre, forgetting for a moment the five famous villages, pastel colors, souvenir shop windows overflowing with tourist trinkets, restaurants, bars, and the usual selfies to share on social media? Instead, prepare for a walk among vineyards and lemon trees proudly standing between the sea and sky. Here, amidst these remnants of rural life, nestled between steep hills and rugged salty cliffs, an ancient staircase winds down eagerly toward the vast blue sea below, leading to the tiny Church of the Guardian Angel, where you can’t help but pause to admire the view. Honestly, I can’t imagine a more romantic place than this: the white walls of the religious building shine brightly against the green and blue backdrop. Here, with a single glance, you appreciate the full power of the landscape—the rough heights plunging into the azure, terraces cutting the profile like the scissors of a skilled tailor, and on the other side of the mountain, the old village of Monesteroli seemingly defying gravity. I believe that once you arrive here, you will understand without many words that buying a stone farmhouse in this wonderful spot means ”embracing” the sea, with the distant outlines of the Palmaria and Tino islands, and on clear winter days, even Corsica, Gorgona, and Capraia. Outside the property, there is: - A portico for outdoor lunches and dinners - A terrace suspended over the sea - A flat garden with olive and fruit trees Inside, the farmhouse has been ”masterfully” renovated by a skilled architect who transformed a rural house into a comfortable holiday residence. It consists of: - Ground floor: a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher) with sea views and direct access to the outside and portico - A windowed bathroom on the ground floor - First floor: two double bedrooms with sea views (one with a walk-in closet), with the possibility to add lofts for extra beds, and a terrace with an immense sea view There is a small external storage room on the garden level and a wood-fired oven. Heating is electric and/or with a pellet stove using an air system to warm the upper floor rooms. All that remains is to schedule an appointment with Anna to visit this ”dream” place and this wonderful farmhouse! Additional information: The online site “Viaggi [hidden information]” named the Fossola beach in Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, as the most romantic beach in Europe. Rich in stones and sea-polished pebbles, surrounded by the wild nature of the area immersed in Mediterranean scrub, the beach is frequented by locals and tourists visiting or staying in the village. It is located in the easternmost part of the village, in a small bay enclosed between the village and the Punta Montenero promontory. To reach it, you must descend to the Fossola beach (a 10-minute walk). To reach the house, you need to walk down a path of about 6 minutes from a convenient parking area, which is secured by a barrier with a remote control allowing access only to residents of Fossola di Tramonti. The farmhouse is registered as “A” (residential), a rarity in this magical place where most houses are registered as “C” (tool sheds, warehouses, etc.). It is ideal as a family home but also as a holiday home with excellent economic returns.
