Kolymbithres boasts a singular stone house of 428 sq.m., partly set into the hillside next to a seasonal stream, with a glorious view of the sea and sky. This building is unique of its kind on Paros. It features 6 independent spacious master bedrooms next to an infinity pool of 522 sq.m.
Each room has a designed bathroom with distinctive architecture. The bright, sunny living room is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the pool and the outdoor living room. The spectacular garden, carefully designed with trees from around the world. There the whole family can spend carefree quality time together around the barbecue, in complete privacy. The villa owes its unique sense of luxury to its location and the lavish amenities it offers residents and guests.
This striking architectural project is inspired by the boatyard. The architect observed how a fishing boat is hauled out of the water onto the axles of a trailer. The design consists of two straight lines symbolising the two axles that cradle the boat. Between them is a gap in which, instead of a vessel, the architect has created a long swimming pool representing the sea from which the boat emerges.
The whole project is constructed of three basic materials: wood, stone and rusty steel, a durable steel treated to form a patina with the orange-brown colour and texture of rust.
The rocks found on site during the excavation work were used to make a unique mixture of finely crushed stone and cement, which will be used to cover the whole floor, aesthetically connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces and the pool area.
The pool is divided into a children’s and an adult pool. Next to the children’s pool is an elegant firepit, its flames creating a striking contrast between the elements of fire and water. There the family can gather to light the fire and enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars.
The architect has managed to make an idea reality. A reality that can become a perfect idea for the owner.
