A newly completed residence in the Mikasa villa estate of Kyu-Karuizawa, never occupied, set on 1,341.67 m² (about 14,440 sq ft) of land in a quiet, wooded valley. The house offers 265.67 m² (about 2,860 sq ft) over two floors and is delivered fully furnished. The former Mikasa Hotel is a ten-minute walk away.

The façade pairs clear red cedar with stone. Inside, a living, dining and kitchen space of about 72 m² is warmed by a bio-ethanol fireplace, with a SieMatic kitchen, Miele appliances and wine storage by Liebherr. The furniture is by Minotti, and the beds by Simmons.

Three bedrooms, a jet bath, and hydronic floor heating with air conditioning in every room make the house comfortable in every season. An electric-shutter garage keeps arrivals private.

In summer, the valley stays cool under the trees. In late autumn, the larch forest around the Mikasa area turns gold.

Kyu-Karuizawa is the historic heart of Karuizawa, a summer retreat since the late nineteenth century. The former Mikasa Hotel, a wooden Western-style hotel opened in 1906 and now a National Important Cultural Property, reopened in October 2025 after a major restoration. St. Paul’s Catholic Church is about 19 minutes on foot, and the shops and cafés of Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza about 20.

Karuizawa Station, on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, is 3.2 km away, and Tokyo is about an hour by train.
