The Red House emerges as a sanctuary nestled in the heart of the Atlantic Forest, offering a safe and serene refuge, an invitation to merge with the natural environment. It is a home that invites us to simply be, moving away from the superfluous and closer to our true essence.

On this plot of approximately 54,000 square feet, the residence finds itself in harmony with its natural neighbors, such as birds and lizards, all inhabitants of the private reserve of Baía dos Vermelhos, in the south of Ilhabela. The project, a creation of the Vazquez and Junqueira office, known for its works in theater, reflects a respectful integration with the surroundings.

The architecture of the property is divided into two distinct but complementary blocks, designed to establish a fluid connection between the indoor spaces and the lush external landscape, without altering the natural terrain. The first block houses the social areas: living room, dining room, and kitchen, all integrated and open to a generous veranda, in addition to a suite that projects like a Bungalow and a powder room, enriching the experience of socializing and rest.

The connection between the blocks is made through a covered walkway with translucent material and adorned with wooden slats, which filters natural light, creating an environment of soft and diffuse luminosity. The second block stands out for its four suites, each adorned with a distinct color on its facade, giving a unique identity to the ensemble. On the lower floor, taking advantage of the space between the slab and the natural terrain, there is a covered leisure room, with glass walls, offering a cool and welcoming environment.
