Beach - 5 mins, Santa Gertrudis - 15 mins, Ibiza Town - 30 mins, Airport - 40 mins
San Miguel sits in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja in Ibiza’s northern interior, a part of the island that has retained its agricultural character and traditional Ibizan village structure far more than the south. The area is defined by pine-covered hills, dramatic coastal cliffs, and the deep inlet of Port de Sant Miquel below. This is the quieter, less commercialised face of Ibiza, where finca architecture and rural lanes set the tone rather than resort development.
The village of San Miguel has a weekly market and the church of Sant Miquel de Balansat, one of the island’s oldest. Port de Sant Miquel beach is five minutes by car. Santa Gertrudis, with its restaurant scene including Bar Costa and Bambuddha Grove nearby, is around fifteen minutes. Ibiza Town is thirty minutes.
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is approximately forty minutes from San Miguel by car and operates direct routes to most major European cities, with particularly strong connections to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Madrid. The island has no rail network, so private or hired transport is standard. Ferry services from Ibiza Town connect to Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca, with crossing times ranging from two to eight hours depending on the service.
