An Italian Inspired Hideaway In The Mountains

Set within the exclusive Baviaanskloof Mountain Estate, this warm and characterful home offers a rare combination of security, privacy and relaxed family living in one of Hout Bay’s most beautiful natural settings. Inspired by the charm of an Italian farmhouse, the home has a wonderful sense of heart and authenticity, with beautiful wooden roof inlays, inviting living spaces and an easy flow to the veranda, garden and pool. The layout has been thoughtfully designed for family life. The main en-suite bedroom is positioned separately, creating a peaceful private retreat, while the additional bedrooms are set apart in their own wing — ideal for children, guests or extended family. The entertainment areas are generous and welcoming, with multiple living spaces, a TV and bar area, and a relaxed lounge that opens to the covered Italian-style veranda. From here, the home flows naturally to the pool and garden, creating the perfect setting for long lunches, summer evenings and easy entertaining. Surrounded by mountain scenery and estate greenery, this is a home that feels beautifully tucked away while still being close to Hout Bay’s beaches, restaurants, shops and everyday conveniences. A secure and soulful family retreat where character, comfort and nature come together. *Some interior images have been AI-edited and virtually staged. Furnishings shown are illustrative.
