The history of Montauban has unfolded over the centuries. Originally a farming estate and later a wine-growing smallholding, the property became a country residence around 1830 before acquiring, in the late 19th century, the appearance of the château we know today. The different periods in the estate’s history remain visible in its architecture and in the diversity of the buildings that make up the property.

Offering approximately 785 sqm of living space, the residence comprises 27 rooms, divided between two separate living areas with shared spaces. It includes 13 bedrooms, five reception rooms and three bathrooms, together with numerous ancillary and service areas.

The interiors reflect the property’s rich architectural heritage. Oak parquet flooring in a variety of patterns, finely crafted wood panelling, leaded stained-glass windows, tapestries and numerous fireplaces, mainly in marble, adorn a succession of generously proportioned reception rooms.
