Renovated Bastide Near The Village Center

Grimaud occupies a privileged position in the Var, set back from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez between the Maures massif and the coast. The medieval hilltop village, with its Romanesque church and ruined château, gives the commune a distinct identity that separates it from the more commercial resorts along the shoreline. The surrounding landscape of cork oak, pine, and vineyard has remained largely intact, and the village itself retains the scale and character of a working Provençal community.

The weekly market in Grimaud village covers local produce, cheese, and charcuterie. Port Grimaud, the canal village designed by François Spoerry, is a five-minute drive and offers waterfront restaurants and direct boat access to Saint-Tropez. The town of Sainte-Maxime, with its broader retail offer and seafront promenade, is approximately fifteen minutes by car.

The nearest major transport hub is Toulon-Hyères Airport, roughly 70 kilometres west, with domestic and European connections. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, offering the widest range of international routes, is approximately 100 kilometres east, around 90 minutes by car depending on summer traffic. The TGV station at Les Arcs-Draguignan, around 25 kilometres north, provides high-speed rail connections to Paris in under four hours.
