Located in the most residential area of Grasse, this superb residence steeped in history is certainly the most notable in the city of perfumes. The property is set in more than 13 acres of wooded parkland, with typical Mediterranean species, and benefits from a panoramic view of the sea. The park has a beautiful swimming pool area with pool house, several ponds, a bowling alley, an olive grove with about 400 olive trees and a caretaker’s house. Completely renovated a few years ago, the house has been entirely renovated and restored in the respect of the tradition while preserving the authenticity of the Burgundy stone and the wrought iron. Located only 35 minutes from the airport and the beautiful beaches of Cannes. Information on the risks to which this property is exposed is available on the Géorisques website: https://www.georisques.gouv.fr/
Grasse occupies a hillside position in the pre-Alps above the Côte d’Azur, at an elevation that keeps it noticeably cooler than the coast while maintaining clear views toward the Mediterranean. It is internationally recognised as the historic capital of the perfume industry, a status it has held since the 17th century, and its old town retains the dense, layered character of a Provençal hill town: narrow lanes, ochre facades, and covered market squares that have changed little in their essential form.
The covered market on Place aux Aires is the practical centre of daily life for residents. The old town holds several good restaurants and traditional Provençal cafés. The Musée International de la Parfumerie and the historic houses of Fragonard, Molinard, and Galimard are all within the town. Cannes, with its full range of retail, dining, and beach clubs, is approximately 17 kilometres to the south.
Grasse sits roughly 35 kilometres from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the second busiest in France, with direct connections to most major European cities and long-haul routes. The drive to Cannes takes around 25 minutes by the D6185. Antibes is reachable in approximately 30 minutes. The A8 motorway, accessible via Cannes or Mougins, connects westward to Aix-en-Provence and Marseille and eastward toward Monaco and the Italian border.
