Goult is one of the most quietly distinguished villages in the Luberon, perched on a rocky spur between Gordes and Ménerbes in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon. Its medieval core, with narrow stone lanes, a restored windmill, and a Romanesque church, has attracted a discerning international community without losing its authenticity. The village carries a reputation for understated elegance that sets it apart from more touristic neighbours.
The village centre has a weekly market, a handful of well-regarded restaurants including the Café de la Poste, and a butcher and épicerie for daily needs. Gordes is ten minutes by car, Ménerbes and Lacoste are similarly close, and the market town of Apt, with its Saturday market and full range of services, is around fifteen minutes east.
Avignon, with its TGV station connecting to Paris Gare de Lyon in roughly two hours and thirty minutes, is approximately fifty kilometres west, around forty-five minutes by car. Marseille Provence Airport is about ninety kilometres south, reachable in under an hour. Aix-en-Provence, with its own TGV station and direct services to Paris, is around sixty kilometres away, approximately fifty minutes by car.
