General description of the property

Position

The property is located at the foot of the Umbra on the border with Lazio, among woods and olive groves, in peace, in a context of renovated farmhouses inhabited by Romans and international families; however, it is truly one step away from Rome, thanks to the incredible ease of communication, which can be reached quickly by both rail and highway (about 1 hour, see below).

The architecture and finishes of a true ”Contractor”

It is the classic Casale Umbro, described and photographed by the architect Giuseppe Pagano in the 1936 exhibition at the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan. The construction dates back to 1926, at the beginning of the rural expansion of the twenty-year period. The finishes are a bit tired due to the 40 years of time but of very high quality and therefore it is important to think carefully about what to replace and what to leave. In fact, those who renovated and still own it have been important ”contractors” for the construction of luxury properties and furnishings in Africa and the Middle East. The swimming pool is the most striking example of the ”almost princely” quality and let me say a little ”Saudi” of the work, which only the colonial villas allowed themselves to do and which alone is worth a visit to the property.

The property is a traditional stone farmhouse as mentioned above and extends over several levels and features large living areas, spacious rooms, and fascinating architectural details. The garden includes panoramic porticoes, a small terrace, a technical room and a car park with photovoltaic panels, while the approximately 12,000 sqm plot houses an olive grove with 50/60 plants, 160 walnut trees and tall trees.
