Gardone is the best known tourist center and the first holiday center in Gardone, launched in 1879 by the German Luigi Wimmer with the opening of a pension called Pizzocolo, which gradually grew into what is still today the Grand Hotel of Gardone.
The Villa Paolina appears in the cadastral maps of the Kingdom of Italy in 1898. It can be deduced that the villa, in Art Nouveau style, was built between 1845 and 1898 by an Austrian architect/engineer of the time.
The villa was sold by the first owners to a German lady in 1930, and was then acquired by the grandparents of the current owners
and used as a hotel. In the 70s it was renovated and transformed into a private home until today.
