SOLE AGENCY: Stone built factory from the turn of the century, converted into a luxury, contemporary ’loft’ style villa overlooking Cap Ferrat and the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
The property offers an impressive 210sqm reception area with 8 metre high ceilings designed around and featuring the period machinery which was originally used to purify the town’s water supply by an avant-garde chlorine free ozone-gas system.
There are dining, lounge and work areas and a state of the art McIntosh/Wilson hi-fi system. The reception leads through to a bespoke professional stainless-steel kitchen, designed by Alain Ducasse, opening in turn onto a teak terrace fitted with a huge jaccuzzi overlooking the sea.
The villa offers four en suite bedrooms all with en suite showers or bathrooms and connected audio/visual equipment. The main bedroom, designed as a factory control tower, overlooks the reception area and offers a private solarium with a superb panorama.
The property has been the object of an extreme ’regardless of cost’ 20 year refurbishment project, every detail treated with the best materials and latest technologies - thermal insulation, heated floors, reversible air conditioning, home automation systems and CCTV cameras.
The lower floor comprises a ship shape machine room area with a hammam steam-room and industrial laundry. There’s a separate garden apartment for guests, a parking platform and further building possibilities for garages and parking accommodation.
The villa is located on a calm and discreet residential hillside on the heights of Villefranche-sur-Mer, walking distance to the shops, and bus stop with fast and easy access to the beaches, Monaco and Nice international airport.

Villefranche-sur-Mer occupies one of the most sheltered natural deep-water bays on the Côte d’Azur, sitting between Nice and the Cap Ferrat peninsula. The town is defined by its Italianate old quarter, with ochre and terracotta facades rising steeply from the waterfront, and by the clarity of its harbour, historically used by naval fleets and superyachts alike. The hillside residential areas above the bay offer commanding views across to Cap Ferrat and out to the open Mediterranean.
The old town’s rue Obscure, one of the oldest covered streets in France, leads down to a working fishing harbour with cafés and restaurants along the quayside. La Mère Germaine is the established address for seafood on the port. The weekly market runs on Sunday mornings. Nice city centre is 6 kilometres away, with a full range of retail, cultural, and medical services.
Villefranche-sur-Mer has its own SNCF train station on the Nice to Ventimiglia coastal line, with direct services reaching Nice in under 10 minutes and Monaco in approximately 15 minutes. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is around 12 kilometres away, accessible in 20 to 25 minutes by car or taxi, with direct flights to most major European cities and intercontinental connections.
