Exquisite Mallorcan Terraced Homes With Private Pools

Fornalutx is a small mountain village in the Tramuntana range of Mallorca, consistently ranked among the most beautiful villages in Spain. Built on terraced slopes above the Sóller valley, it is defined by honey-coloured stone houses, cobbled lanes, and a medieval parish church that anchors the central square. The surrounding landscape of citrus groves and olive terraces has been shaped over centuries, and the village retains a scale and architectural coherence that larger Mallorcan towns have long since lost.

The village has a handful of restaurants and a small weekly market. Sóller, roughly four kilometres away, provides daily essentials, a farmers market, and a broader restaurant scene. The Port de Sóller, about eight kilometres from Fornalutx, offers waterfront dining and a Blue Flag beach. Palma is accessible within an hour by car.

Sóller connects to Palma via a historic narrow-gauge railway, with the journey taking approximately one hour. By car, Palma is around 35 kilometres via the Ma-11, taking roughly 45 minutes. Palma de Mallorca Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times from the airport to Fornalutx of approximately one hour.
